Grandma Jill's House

We spent last night at Grandma Jill's house. Grandpa Scott cooked steak on the grill while we swam (which is one of our very favorite things). We were there for a long time and the kids loved every second of it. The bottom picture is Matt's little curly-haired boy named Tanner.

Splash Pad

Yesterday my friend, Shauna called me to go to the St. George splash pad with her and her 3 kids. It was more of a stream than a splash pad but all of our kids loved it. Shauna's little boy, JD, is only about 2 months older than Anne but they look like they could be years apart. Anne really liked following him around.

Zion Subway

Scott had a scout trip planned to hike the Subway in Zion on Thursday. 2 boys cancelled so at the very last minute, bishop's wife and I were invited to go. There are 4 places that we had to get all the way in the water and swim and I've never been so cold in my life- I could hardly breathe. It was absolutely beautiful and we had a lot of fun.

We Have Birds!!

If you saw the eggs in a past blog- you'll know where these birds came from. They are on a speaker right outside our back door. These are pictures at a day old and again at about a week old. Their little mommy sure takes care of them and it has been a lot of fun for us to have them here. We check on them all day long and Shaersti is really careful to not go outside if the mom is feeding them.

Chocolate Fountain

We had a party at our house that the girls weren't invited to but we kept the chocolate fountain going for when they got home. They dug right in!

Splash Pad

This was our first splash pad day of the year- there are many more to come. We went with Grandma Jill and she brought us an awesome lunch! Thanks, Grandma.

Playing Outdoors

2 weeks ago we went to Enterprise with Dave and Jodi. We had a blast hanging out with them and riding their Rhino's. Our girls absolutely love the outdoors! They get that from their dad. Yet somehow, he has made me love them, too.

Gymnastics

This was Shaersti's gymnastic summer games. It was really quite chaotic but she did a great job! Anne really wanted to perform, too!

The Girl's Blankets

A few months ago I decided to make blankets for my girl's beds. I got way in over my head with the type of blanket I chose to make. After Grandma Jill and I had put hundreds of hours into them, Grandma finally paid one her old young women to finish Shaersti's for us. Shaersti was so excited to have her new blanket that it was all well worth it. Thanks grandma and Anna for all of your awesome help!

Anne's Favorite Place

I specifically bought this silly desk because it locks. It doesn't seem to be doing me a whole lot of good. She messed my computer up so bad one day that I had to call Josh to fix it.

Shaersti's First Perm

Shaersti got her first perm last month. She loves to have curly hair and she looks pretty cute with it.

Our Bird

We have a cute little bird who decided to make our back porch her home. She has 4 eggs and she faithfully takes care of them. We just keep wating for them to hatch. Maybe we will be able to get pictures of the baby birds.

Anne Traveling

We went to Provo and back in the same day for a funeral and this is Anne trying to pass the time.

Oh those days on the trramp

My girls love to play on the tramp. I caught them with awesomely static hair, ripping the blue mat to pieces. I took pictures through the window and then they got in trouble.

Shaersti's Dance Recital

I can't believe how well they can make 3 year olds dance- but those teachers pulled it off. Shaersti had a darling dance recital. It's too bad that all of my pictures are terrible. Good thing I got these pictures of her earlier! She was a bird. Thanks to Grandma Jill and Grandpa Scott for coming to watch her and even taking us out for dinner and ice cream after. What great grandparents! An extra thanks to grandma for helping me keep my cool and make it to the recital for how hectic my night got.

Shaersti's Preschool Program

The school year is over- yay! Shaersti had a really cute program and she was the star of the show! (Or maybe I'm just her mom)

More Cami and Kara pics

Cami & Kara come to play

Two weeks ago we had Cami and Kara come to play with us for 4 days. We had a lot of fun. Shaersti and Cami truly had a blast and they were darling together. Anneliese really tried to take crae of Kara. We went to McDonald's (twice), did an art class every day, played in the sprinklers and the sandbox, made cupcakes, built a clubhouse, and a ton of other fun things.
