This was the natural spring where we got all of our water to drink on the top of the mountain.
Shaersti's cousin, Braiden, took her half way down the mountain on his horse, Lexi. Shaersti thought she was really something special. She loved to ride the horse with him and kept telling the horse what to do. Braiden sure made our trip down a lot easier. Then Lexi's shoe came off and Braiden had to walk her the rest of the way. Shaersti rode mom for the other 3 miles.
When we go to the bottom, Grandma Karen stripped Shaersti to her underwear and she got to play in the stream.
This is what it looks like after a long, hard weekend.
This is Aimee's dog, Sue. Shaersti loved her. On Friday night, two other dogs got into a fight over food and Shaersti just happened to be in the midde of it. One of them bit her hand. We had put her gloves on about 30 seconds before the fight and it was a huge blessing. Although her hand got pretty bruised up, they hardly broke the skin through her glove. Sue was worried about Shaersti and kept coming to check on her, it was really cute.
Shaersti only had a few reasons why she wanted to some on the hike: to see Grandma Karen, to ride a horse, and to build a snowman. We never did build a snowman but she had a lot of fun playing in the snow.
Shaersti and her cousin, McKayla, spent hours playing on these saddles, their "horses".
As always, Grandpa Mac fell sound asleep in the middle of everything and these girls all posed around him while everyone was snapping pictures. He didn't even budge!
Scott led Shaersti around on Kamren's horse for a long time. She didn't ever want to get off.
Aimee brought an old Camel Pack for Shaersti. She was scared of it at first but as soon as she started drinking it, she never quit. She wore it all weekend and she loved it. We had to stop to pee 11 times going up the mountain. We hiked 10 miles the first day and she did most of it by herself. She was quite the little hiker chic.

She has really gotten into this posing thing. What a girl!
This tree says, "Scott Fuller 2006" then a heart, then, "Kjirsten Fuller 2007" then we just added, "Shaersti 08". This is our little family tree and it's pretty close to grandpa's tree.
This is the famous tree. This is where Scott's grandpa carved his name in 1920 something. Scott and his brothers and cousins got a picture of it and went searching. It took them 2 years to find it and now it has been a family trip for a few years to get as many Fuller's as we can to the top of Pine Valley Mountain to see grandpa's tree and talk about our ancestry and blessings. What a great trip- and what a long post!

Holy cow what an awesome tradition! Shaersti looks super cute in all of the pictures- what a trooper!
I can't believe Shaersti hiked all the way up the mountain! I'm so impressed! It sounds like it was a fun weekend!
