Camp Mary with the Emett's

We have loved being able to use Camp Mary, and this time we got to enjoy it with my family. We had such a great time. The highlight? Cooking a whole pig for dinner.
This is all the kids riding in grandpa's truck to help collect river rocks to cook the pig.
Here is Jason and Matt putting it into the whole they had dug and lined with river rocks and banana leaves.

Then it got covered with more banana leaves, then canvas, then a tarp, then buried with dirt, where it cooked all day.
Here's the pig right out of the pit.
And here is our end result, a beautiful delicious pig for dinner, and lunch the next day. What a fun thing to try!
Paysli and Callie are the very best of friends and love to play together.

Baylie is the little baby whisperer and Aydree loves her. This was a common scene.
The kids loved playing in the little river.

We have lots of pictures on this swing. It's definitely the popular place to be.
