June- More Oregon!

We wish that someone would have told us we can't pump our own gas in Oregon. I had to take a picture because it was a joke the whole time. Scott teased one of the girls once. He asked her why we can't pump it ourselves. She said it's because a lot of gas was getting stolen. He said, "Where I come from, we have to pay for it before we can start pumping it". She had no idea how to respond. I wonder what happens to them when they drive into another state- do they just sit at the pump and wait? :)

We found a awesome little barbeque stand in front of a grocery store.

This was the last stopping place with the Scott's, Harris Beach. We had to stay at a terrible hotel one night before we could find a camp spot.

The kids found a little snuggle cove off the beach.

We are finally eating the crab we caught.

Anne and Jaden playing on the Scott's trailer.

This is how we looked on the nights we camped, although we did end up getting hotels about half of the time.

After we split from the Scott's and loaded up from Harris Beach, we headed further south to the Redwood Tree Forest. We found a little side road to go explore on our own and didn't actually go into the park. It was amazing!

I couldn't possibly take a picture that caught the true splendor of these enormous trees.

We kept heading south and into San Francisco, where we crossed the Golden Gate Bridge.

We ended up right in downtown San Francisco. The driving with a trailer was terrible, but I was fascinated.

After we got through the craziness of San Francisco (without stopping) we headed south as fast as we could so we could fit in two days at Disneyland before we had to end this amazing vacation. Goodbye Oregon!!!
