With grandpa's pool right next door, my girls are turning into fish. Shaersti is such a good little swimmmer and there's nowhere she'd rather be. She doesn't need a life jacket and she runs around with all the bigger kids and loves to jump and do front flips off the diving board. On the other hand, Anneliese is scary! She can't swim at all and its a lot of work to follow her around on the step to make sure she doesn't fall off it.

Shaersti's Busy Month
It has been an exciting few weeks for Shaersti as she has finished her year of dance and preschool. We were moving the day of her dance concert and I couldn't think beyond just getting her there. Her cute new Aunt Michelle (Josh's wife) brought her flowers and Shaersti loved them. She felt so special to have Matt, Shellie, Josh, and Michelle come watch her dance. It was a pretty cute little prgram.
Shaersti just finished her 2nd (but not last) year of preschool. She went to a small neighborhood preschool called Shining Star. They had a little graduation program this week so we could see some of the things she learned this year.
They made little harmonicas and played them at graduation. It was my favorite part.Tuesday, April 14, 2009
Work, Work, and more Work
For those who don't know- we are moving. We are renting a house just one circle over from my parent's. In exchange for a lowered rent, we agreed to paint the house before we move in. It has been quite the job and we have gotten a lot of help, especially from my parents. My dad has come over a few times into the late night to help pull up carpet and mask off cupboards. My mom has been the biggest help of all, tending my kids every day for the past two weeks so I could work on the house. Although we have a really busy week ahead of us, we will be done painting by Saturday night. All our flooring goes in next week, and then we can move in. Although we are downsizing by a few bedrooms and then some, I am actually pretty excited to move. It's a big blessing in my life that I thrive off change! The house will be really cute when it's done, our rent will be at a great price, and the house is right on an amazing park and close to my parents. I couldn't ask for more during these crappy economic times. We have an offer on our house right now and we hope it goes through, but we are going to get settled before our new baby comes regardless of whether our current home sales or not. It has brought me a lot of peace of mind, which is worth its weight in gold!
This is some of the wallpaper coming off. What cute little helper girls!
And even more wallpaper coming off. This is Kolby going where no man has been before.Easter
Preschool Field Trip
Shaersti's school had a really fun field trip last week. We went to the St. George airport and rode in the huge fire truck and met a few police with thir motorcycles. Shaersti's favorite part was when the fire truck driver turned on the sirens and sprayed water. All the kids giggled. Even Anne got to join in the fun.

This was our last "Girls Night Out". I gave the girls each chocolate frosting and a few cupcakes to decorate. Then I made the mistake of leaving them alone for 3 minutes. Instead of decorating their cupcakes, they decided to decorate their faces. Notice how they're all in their clean pajamas for bed? I had to wash all their clothes and they slept in mine and Shaersti's nightgowns. We actually had a lot of fun playing, as always.
