The Big News

We began trying to get pregnant in May and just found out that it finally worked! Yes...we are expecting a new baby in June. Although I am only about 17 minutes pregnant (as my mom says), we are really excited to be getting a new baby. Shaersti is so ready to have a new baby at our house and she is really excited and wants to know everything about it. We only told her this morning but she has checked my belly 3 times today to see if it's growing yet. I think it will be a really long 9 months for her! She is determined that if we have a girl her name will be Melody. But way more than that, she Really wants a little brother (she says she already has a little sister) and she is just sure that his name will be Knuckles. Pretty silly!

Halloween Houses

As a form of entertainment, Grandma Jill bought Halloween houses to decorate. The kids had a lot of fun decorating them but I can't exactly say that they turned out pretty. Whoever thought to put black frosting into a child's decorating kit not only has never had kids, but has also never been around them. What's so wrong with light orange?

The Rockin' Emett Band

It's that time of year again...the Senior Huntsman Games. For two full weeks the Emett band has been rockin' it. I got to listen to them a few times in the park and twice at the fairgrounds (where the pictures are). They have had huge groups almost every day (between 500 and 1,500) and they are a lot of fun to listen to! The main band is my brother, Jason; my dad, Scott; and his dad, Bert. Then they have other people who join them pretty often. Thanks for providing such great entertainment for so many years!
You can see how interested Anne is!
After the show we had a great performance. Branson and (kind of) Max got up and drummed. Branson actually knows what he's doing and he's really cute to watch. Then Baylie got up and sang a song my dad wrote called "Cowboy". She was so cute and had no fear. It was way fun to listen to!

Beeca's 8th Birthday

Happy Birthday, Becca. For her birthday we went to the Bear Mill. We played games...
Danced...
Chose animals and stuffed them...
Then dressed them in darling outfits (or as spiderman and hockey players).
It was such a fun party and all of the kids had a blast. My kids still haven't set their animals down. Thanks, mom!
Shaersti and Max with their animals in their backpacks. Cute cousins (born less than a month apart).

A Day at the Movies

Grandpa and Grandma took all their grandkids (except Tanner) to a movie. Although the movie was super stupid (don't bother going to Igor), the kids were all super darling in their matching Halloween clothes. What a bunch of cute kids!

Swiss Days Parade

Shaersti was in the Santa Clara Swiss Days parade with her preschool. Although she told me that she would watch for us and wave, she decided she would be really shy when she saw us. We all got up and jumped and waived and she just sat and stared. It was fun to see her in a parade, anyway. She is on the far left hand side (not waving).

Anne had her little trick-or-treat bag to gather candy. It's a good thing cause we got a ton of candy... especially Brason who wasn't afraid to run after it.

BBBS 5k & Fun Run

My mom is on the board for Big Brother Big Sister and she drug us out really early on a Saturday morning to do their 5k race and fun run. We actually had a great time and even took home $80 in przes so it was really worth getting up for.
Josh took 1st place in the fun run- followed by Becca- way to go!
Riley just looks like he's built to do this.
Josh came back to finsh with Shaersti. She made Scott run with her until the end and she sure tried hard!
Anne came in her jamas and she stayed that way. She had a lot of fun watching everyone run and playing on all the toys.
Here I am- the only family member that ran the 5k. Although I'm terribly out of shape I still took 2nd (not hard when there's only 10 people running)!
