Summer Baking

One of 0ur favorite things to do at our house is make cupcakes. Grandma Jill gave us a darling mini cupcake set a long time ago and for some dumb reason we never pulled it out until a few days ago. Shaersti and Anneliese thought it was so much fun and it was really cute to watch them make their own little cupcakes (with tons of frosting).

4th of July

As always, we went and sat out in the 110 degree weather at the Vernon Worthlin park on the 4th of July. They actually had some pretty fun stuff to do this year and the kids loved every minute of it.

Darling Cousins

Matt and Shellie had their baby girl, Callie Kae, 5 weeks before Paysli was born and she is darling. We are excited for Paysli to be so close to Callie in age and hope they become good friends.

Creative and Dirty Summer Fun

Becca, Riley, Shaersti and Anneliese have gotten really creative with their summer play. We obviously need to find a wagon. We live right on a huge park and they pull each other around the whole park in ice chests and suit cases. While it's actually pretty embarassing, you've got to give them credit for being creative.
From a cardboard bos and the remains of a laundry hamper, Riley made himself a little car and he spent days in it.

You'll never hear me say that my kids don't love to be dirty. Yes... after 3 washes, I had to throw Anne's shirt away.

Paysli Kate

We are thrilled to announce the arrival of our new baby girl, Paysli Kate. She was born on June 17th and weighed 7 lbs. 9 oz. She has been such a great baby and we all absolutely adore her. It's so fun to have a new baby in the house and no one can get enough of her, especially her sisters who try to "help" way too much.

Although I felt HUGE, it's still pretty amazing I had a full-grown baby in my belly.

How Old?

Yes, my husband turned 30 today. The nice thing about his birthdays sending me into shock is that I'm over it by the time I get there.

I consider myself to be the luckiest person in the world to be married to Scott. I met him 10 years ago and we have been married for almost 7. He is a better husband than I could have ever imagined having. He has turned out to be an excellent dad, too. I am so blessed to have him and I can hardly wait to spend the rest of forever with him. I wanted to share a few pictures of him, although he hates being blogged.

You can tell from most of these pictures that he is an outdoor man. This is what whooped me over him in the first place and I still love it. I am thankful to him that he got me over some of my "city-girl"ness.

This is before we had any kids.

But life is so much better with them. Isn't he a cute dad?

These pictures are definitely the Scott I fell in love with. Just looking at them makes me appreciate him more. Thanks, Scott, for being my everything!

Summer Fun

Over the weekend we spent an evening playing at Grandma Irene's house. We rarely see them in Veyo and we had a lot of fun. My girls absolutely loved playing outside and the highlight was definitely the horse. We're glad they let us come play.

This is Tanner being held on the horse by Grandpa Scott.

On Monday night Randy invited our whole family over for a barbeque at his house (he's a brave man). It was good food and we had a lot of fun hanging out, singing camp songs and talking. The kids loved all the cool things they have in their back yard, especially the trikes and fire pit.
