Another Paysli Disaster

After I blogged about all her messes, she made the best one yet. She somehow found red lipstick (I sure as heck don't wear it) and she colored all over herself. Worse than that, she colored my white bathroom carpet so beautifully. It took me hours to get it all out. Thanks Paysli!

A Trip to Cedar City

Ben had a soccer game scheduled in Cedar City so we planned a mini vacation around it. The soccer game got snowed out and Cedar was freezing- but we still went on vacation. We went to a movie and dinner then the next morning we went to a kids bounce house. It was a lot of fun. Isn't Scott such a cute dad? He jumped right in and played with the kids the whole time.

Spring Stands for Soccer

It's that time of year again... spending two nights a week at the soccer field. This season comes with a little sadness because it's the last one (unless Riley plays many years down the road). We know the whole team and it's the only sport I've only enjoyed watching- and I really enjoy it. These are terrible pictures but they're the only ones I've taken. A super bonus is that Desert Hills is undefeated, Ben is one of the captains, and we are rated #1 in the state (oh...and Ben has amazing legs in his shorty-shorts). It makes it all that much more fun!

The Many Messes of Paysli

Paysli has many amazing qualities- she is cute, funny, and really snuggly. All in all, she is a really satisfying child. However, there is one thing I don't appreciate as well- she has an amazing ability to create messes. I simply don't have the ability to keep up with her! The markers drawn all over her legs in many beautiful colors were also covering the whole hallway (thank goodness for washable markers).
This lovely mess was 5 minutes after I had her all ready for the day and it's a super-greasy lotion that lingered for days. She was super proud of herself!
This picture is just Paysli. This is how she looks after she eats anything- which is most of the time. I have found it impossible to keep her face clean and some days it's not even worth trying.
I love you, Paysli!

Eating and More Eating... It's an Emett Thing

Happy Birthday Mom!
For my mom's birthday she took all of her adult kids with spouses (or dates) to an awesome sushi restaurant in Mesquite. We had an awesome dinner and a fun time together!
This is an amazing sushi plate- isn't it beautiful?
Ben was in an eating contest in his school and won it (along with 52 free value meals). He then got to join in this eating contest with the winners from all the St. George high schools to earn money for their school. We went to the grand opening of this brand new McDonald's to watch him and it was awesome (and disgusting). Ben ate so nice and clean but one guy in particular was so nasty (of course he won). Ben earned $1,000 for his school and lots more food from McDonald's. Way to go!

Spring Break Vacation

We just had to get away for Spring Break, so we did... all the way to Mesquite! My parents paid for us all to skate, swim, eat lots of good food (it wouldn't be an Emett vacation without the food), and spend the night in Mesquite. It was a great little get-away. This picture is my dad holding Josh and Michelle's baby, Addison.

Shaersti posing on her blades.
Paysli's favorite thing was dancing in the middle of the skating rink. Uncle Jason was the only one willing to take her and they had a dance party.
Anne showing off her awesome arm floaties.
Jason and Amelia's boys, Max and Branson, and my brother, Riley, revealing their amazing muscles.
Shaersti and I. I tried to have her hide my amazing baby belly but it didn't quite work.
Darling Addi again. What a great picture! It was too cold for her to get in but she sure looked the part!
Paysli loves to be in the tub more than anywhere else so it didn't surprise me when she took right to the pool and splashed everything she could.

The Good News

You may think I have given up this whole blogging thing. Nope! We found out the week of Christmas that we are expecting another baby. Yay! Unfortunately, we really pay the price to get babies here and I spent 2 full months laying (dying) on my couch. I went to the doctor 4 or 5 different times for an IV- not my idea of fun. I am just getting back to real life and taking care of my family again and... yes, blogging. I am super thankful for all the help we got while I was sick and I'm just as thankful to be feeling better. We find out if we will be adding to our slew of girls or amazingly having a boy in another 4 weeks. I am so thankful to have an amazing husband and to be a mom to (almost) 4 awesome kids... dare I say "girls"?
